Founded in 1979 as a youth football club for boys, Canterbury Eagles now provides footballing opportunities in a supportive, friendly environment across all ages, genders and abilities. The club now supports girls’, women’s, men’s, veterans’ and disability teams, in addition to 14 teams at mini-soccer and youth levels. Our aim is to be a truly inclusive club, helping to progress our players’ football ability, their health and wellbeing and their social development. A two-star England Football Accredited club, we start the 2021-22 with around 550 members.
Our pan-disability players have been training together when restrictions have allowed since the summer of 2020 and they are delighted to now belong to the KDFL, to play other teams and meet other players. Eagles have two adult pan-disability teams, the Spitfires and the Hurricanes, supported by a committed team of coaches with a number of years’ experience in disability football.
