Pompey in the Community provides a range of fun and structured sports sessions for people with disabilities. Their clubs with expert coaches will be able to develop your sporting ability whether you are new to sport or an experienced sportsperson.

Below is a list of sports sessions that are currently set up. Sessions are held in the Portsmouth area and beyond, please check the website for current times and sessions.
• Powerchair Football
Pompey now run Hampshire’s ONLY Powerchair team. It is one of the few sports where youngsters of any age can compete against each other.
The team train bi-weekly and compete in regular tournaments over six weekends a year. A member of the team’s father is an International Powerchair referee and he will run the team in conjunction with our Pompey coaches.
They have Powerchairs so you don’t need to provide your own, so if you’d like to find out more please email Steve Baxter on stevebax1@virginmedia.com
• Special Olympics – Multi-sports
Practice skills from a different Special Olympics sport each week. Sports include basketball, indoor tennis, boccia, 5-a-side football and more. Opportunities to enter Special Olympics competitions
• Inclusive Football
Football for anybody with a disability and/or additional needs. Sessions are split up into a skill phase which develop techniques such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and then finish with games at the end. Regularly have the chance to enter festivals with other teams.
• Amputee Football
Portsmouth Amputee FC offer football opportunities for people with upper and lower amputations and persons with limb affecting disabilities. For both adults and juniors. Twitter @PompeyAmpFooty
• Portsmouth CP Football
Football sessions for young people aged 5-16 with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities
